Cellulaze

Cellulite often remains after weight loss and exercise, causing frustration and feelings of embarrassment.

Cellulaze® is a safe and effective procedure that reduces dimpling on the abdomen, hips, legs, and buttocks.

Full Spectrum Dermatology in Fullerton, CA, offers effective, yet noninvasive treatments for your skin.

How Does Cellulaze Treat Cellulite?

Cellulite is a condition in which fat deposits push through the fibrous bands beneath the skin, giving it a dimpled appearance. While weight loss and strength training may minimize the appearance of cellulite to a certain degree, these lifestyle changes will often not provide the results our patients desire.

Cellulaze by Cynosure® uses laser technology to melt fat and break the tissue bands that cause cellulite to form. Because Cellulaze treatment takes place beneath your skin where cellulite resides, it can effectively address the problem at the source.

Our Fullerton dermatology office is proud to offer this groundbreaking technology so patients can achieve cosmetic results that allow them to feel truly at home in their bodies.

Candidacy and Other Considerations

If your mild to moderate cellulite makes you feel embarrassed about your appearance, you are likely a good candidate for Cellulaze. In general, candidates should:

  • Be in good general health
  • Not be significantly overweight
  • Have realistic expectations

Dr. William Baugh will discuss your cosmetic concerns and goals during a consultation to determine whether Cellulaze is an appropriate treatment option for you.

The Cellulaze Procedure

The Cellulaze procedure lasts approximately one to two hours, depending on the size of the area being treated. The procedure involves several steps:
You don't need to undergo surgery to achieve smooth skin. With Cellulaze, treatment is simple.

Anesthetic

Dr. Baugh will apply local anesthesia to the target areas so that you remain comfortable throughout your procedure.

Mapping

Dr. Baugh will mark the pre-determined treatment areas to ensure the most precise results.

Cellulaze

He will make small incisions and insert a tiny tube, called a cannula, under your skin. He will then feed a small laser fiber through the cannula, which will deliver laser energy directly to the fat and connective tissue. The Cellulaze laser gently liquefies fat, releases the fibrous bands, and tightens the skin for a taut appearance free of dimples.

Results

Many of our patients require only a single treatment. The appearance of your cellulite will continue to improve for up to a year following your procedure. Your results can last a year or more.

Recovering From Cellulite Treatment

Recovery after your cellulite treatment at our Fullerton, CA, office may take up to two days. During this time, you may experience mild aches and pains. Over-the-counter pain medication can help alleviate these symptoms. We may also recommend wearing a compression garment during the healing period to control any swelling and bruising, and to encourage better contouring in the treatment area.
