Laser Skin Treatments
Do you want to address concerns like acne scars and excess fat on your face and body without surgery?
Laser skin treatments are minimally invasive procedures that can smooth, tighten, and brighten your skin.
At Full Spectrum Dermatology in Fullerton, CA, our board-certified doctor offers three different laser skin treatments.
Benefits of Laser Treatments
Each of our laser treatments offers different benefits to our patients. Overall, you can expect the following from all our laser skin treatments:
Laser skin treatments don't make surgical enhancements to your body, meaning the results often look more natural than facelifts and other surgical procedures. This natural appearance is also due to the nature of the procedure. Lasers help stimulate collagen production in the skin, which will help your skin appear more youthful over time.
Minimally Invasive Treatment
For patients who are hesitant about undergoing surgery, laser skin treatments can be a great solution to address cosmetic concerns. Our laser skin treatments require either no incisions or only small incisions. You won't have to worry about extensive scarring, bruising, and healing like you would with surgical cosmetic treatments.
Since laser skin treatments are minimally invasive, your recovery is much shorter than it would be if you received a surgical procedure. The only thing you'll need during your recovery is Dr. William Baugh's simple post-op instructions. Additionally, only local anesthesia is needed to numb the treatment area, allowing you to drive yourself home and carry on with your day .
Laser Skin Treatments We Offer
Our laser treatments are ideal for minimizing scars, wrinkles, excess fat deposits, and other facial and bodily skin concerns you may have.
Laser Skin Resurfacing
With laser skin resurfacing, we use the Opus® laser to remove the outermost layer of damaged skin, stimulating your body's natural healing process. Collagen production increases, and new skin cells grow. The result of laser resurfacing is a tighter, smoother complexion. Laser resurfacing can target several skin concerns, including wrinkles, scars, and sunspots.
Cellulaze™ reduces the appearance of cellulite by breaking up the connective tissues that create the dimpled appearance. Even with a healthy diet and regular exercise, you may find cellulite around your thighs, buttocks, and other body parts where additional fat cells reside. Cellulaze is minimally invasive and involves inserting a small tube under the skin. Through this tube, a laser will target the connective tissue and fat cells. The result of Cellulaze is smoother, tighter skin.
Smartlipo® is a less invasive and more precise form of traditional liposuction. Similar to Cellulaze, Smartlipo involves inserting a small tube under the skin to target areas of fat. The laser melts fat deposits, allowing Dr. Baugh to suction out the excess fat. Depending on the size of the area you're treating, the procedure can be as short as 15 minutes. This procedure is ideal for patients who are in good health, exercise regularly, and eat well, but have areas on their body that hold on to excess fat despite these measures.

Is Laser Resurfacing Right for You? Candidacy Factors
During a consultation with Dr. Baugh, he can determine if laser skin resurfacing is right for you. Some factors that may make you ineligible for treatment include the following:
Poor Skin Health
Active acne and open wounds should be treated and healed before starting laser skin resurfacing. Open wounds can increase the risk of infection and may disrupt the post-procedure healing process.
Laser skin resurfacing is an ideal treatment for patients with fine lines and early signs of wrinkle formation. Patients with deep wrinkles or excessive sagging skin may benefit more from a surgical cosmetic procedure.
